With a strong interest in both clinical and aesthetic dermatology Dr. Michael Eidelman is dedicated to helping his patients enjoy healthy skin.
His fascination with dermatology began in medical school when he discovered a growth on his leg. Very concerned, he went to the dermatology department at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was shocked when he was diagnosed with melanoma. After surgery it was determined that the growth was “juvenile melanoma” and not life threatening. This very personal experience sparked his interest in dermatology and the study of skin cancer. No surprise, he currently lectures on skin cancer prevention and the importance of early detection and treatment.
His passion for dermatology has evolved over the years to include a wide variety of cosmetic treatments.

Gretchen Thorner, RPA-C
Registered Physician Assistant, Dermatology
 |
|
Gretchen Thorner is a licensed physician assistant, a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and is board certified through the NCCPA. She was selected by Dr. Eidelman to join his team because of her passion for dermatology, outstanding diagnostic skills and wonderful bedside manner.
Like Dr. Eidelman, she was drawn to the field of dermatology as a result of her own life experiences. In her mid-twenties she developed a severe case of cystic acne and required treatment with Accutane. Her own personal experience with the challenges of acne and multiple therapeutic regiments has helped her become an expert in the treatment of acne. Additional, she was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, which heightened her personal awareness of skin cancer and the importance of yearly skin checks. She also has a personal interest in hyperhydrosis therapy and laser therapy.
|
Her PA career began at the University of Minnesota where she received additional training and experience in surgery. She graduated from University in Nevada in the top 1% of her class with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to joining Dr. Eidelman she worked at New York's Cornell Medical Center as a member of the internal medicine team which helped her get a better understanding of how general medical conditions can affect disease processes of the skin.
Ms. Thorner has traveled the world with her family, backpacked throughout Europe, is an accomplished athlete and avid skier. She hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
